Hello! I'm Mike, the founder and driving force behind Brento Camper Services LTD, based in the beautiful city of Plymouth, Devon. My journey into the world of campervans started out of a love for travel and the realisation that building my own van was far more rewarding and cost-effective than buying one off the shelf.

My background as a Mechanical Engineer in the Nuclear sector has equipped me with a robust set of skills in system design and reliability. These skills have been invaluable as I've transitioned to working on campervans full-time. After building multiple vans for myself, I began helping friends, then neighbours, and soon their friends too. Before I knew it, I was spending all my weekends working on these projects, and the demand for my expertise was too high to ignore. That's when I decided to take the plunge, leave my day job, and commit to my passion full-time.

One of the things I love most about working on campervans is the variety. No two vans are the same, and each day brings new challenges and opportunities to solve unique problems. Whether it's a custom build from the ground up or adding new features and fixing an existing van, I thrive on finding innovative solutions. Seeing the joy and satisfaction on my customers' faces when I hand over a finished project is incredibly rewarding.

A highlight of my van-building journey was constructing my own Citroen Relay, which I used to travel extensively across Europe. These adventures not only fueled my passion for van life but also gave me firsthand experience of what makes a campervan truly functional and comfortable for long-term off Grid travel.

Brento Camper Services LTD is named after Monte Brento in Northern Italy, my favourite place to visit and climb. The name embodies the spirit of adventure and the great outdoors that I aim to infuse into every van I build.
